spidercookies

  • 1 bag chocolate chips
  • 1 bag butterscotch chips
  • 1 cup salted peanuts
  • 2 ½ cups dry chow mien noodles

In a double boiler, melt the chocolate and butterscotch chips together.

Combine the peanuts and chow mien noodles in a large bowl. Pour half the melted chocolate/butterscotch and mix, then pour the rest and mix until everything is coated.

Scoop out a spoonful at a time and place it on parchment/wax paper. Leave them to harden.

Store in a cool place or in the refrigerator.

Nana Pat has been making these as long as I can remember and they are they first thing I grab from the sweets tray at Christmas. She once mailed them to me in China. It was the best! They are so simple and satisfying. It wouldn’t be Christmas without these!

You could also use one bag of chocolate and one bag of peanut butter chips. I’m sure it would be delicious, but that not Nana’s style.
