Spinach, Bacon and Goat Cheese Crescents

A creamy spinach filling in a light, flakey roll. 

Spinach, Bacon and Goat Cheese Crescents

Yield: 16 servings   Prep: 10  minutes   Cook: 12 minutes

Ingredients 

  • 1 cup spinach (from frozen, thawed and drained)
  • 3 strips bacon, cooked and crumbled
  • 1/2 cup cream cheese, softened
  • 1/2 cup goat cheese
  • 1/4 cup parmesan
  • 1 clove garlic, minced
  • 1 tbsp dill
  • 1/4 tsp lemon zest
  • fresh pepper
  • 2 packages store brought crescent dough
  • 1 egg
  • kosher salt

Preheat oven to 375° F.

Thaw the spinach and squeeze out the water with paper towel.

In a medium bowl, combine the spinach, bacon, cream cheese, parmesan, garlic, dill, lemon, and pepper. Mix well. Crumble the goat cheese and fold in.

Roll out the crescent dough and separate them. Place a tablespoonful at the wide end of the dough. Starting where the filling is, roll up the dough.

Place the rolls on a lined baking sheet.

In a small bowl, whisk the egg with a fork. Brush the tops of the rolls with the egg. Sprinkle the tops with kosher salt.

Bake for 13 minutes. Serve!
